Shop and dine

Freshfields Village is the place for shopping and dining near Kiawah Island.

  • Get a slice of pizza pie at Pizzeria Venti.
  • Take your choice of taking a sip of more than 400 soups at Ladles Homemade Soups.
  • A rush of caffeine is a great way to kick off your day. Java Java offers gourmet Italian-inspired coffees and chocolates.
  • Shop till you drop with stores offering an eclectic mix of goods, including clothes, books and toys.
  • Newton Farms sells a variety of locally grown produce and other goods. Walk around the store’s European-inspired open air market to find fresh cuts of meats, seafood and cheese. Don’t forget to peruse Newton’s great selection of wine to top off your meal!
  • The island has its own restaurants and grocery store.

Beyond the island

Kiawah is near several other communities along the Carolina coast. Historic Charleston — which boasts many fine restaurants, museums and and places to shop — is a 45-minute journey north. Take a day to visit the big city.
